getting through Death Mountain Trail is reasonably easy, just avoid the Red Tektites, the Kokiri Sword will take a couple of slashes to kill them, and they aren't worth the hassle. As you walk up the trail you will see some sort of entrance closed by a big boulder. We'll take care of that in a sec. Keep walking up and you will pass a hill with three boulders at the top on your left, keep going walk straight ahead until you come to ....



Goron City is reasonably simple, just keep jumping off the platforms until you get to the very bottom. You should be able to see a closed door with a Goron asleep on the right, and a mat on the floor. Big Brother (Ruler of the Gorons, Otherwise known as Darunia) has locked himself in his room until the messenger of the Royal Family arrives.

Stand on the mat and bang out a few bars of Zelda's Lullaby, and the door will open. Walk in and talk to him. He seems quite pissed off that you humiliate him like this, assuming the role of the Royal Messenger, but he's just in a bad mood, play Saria's Song (all the Goron's like this song, there is an entrance to the Lost Woods up on the top floor of Goron City (I think). You will be able to hear Saria's Song Playing, but the entrance is blocked by three boulders. There is a Goron sitting outside, near the entrance who asks if you know the tune, they all like it) Anyways, back to Darunia. Play Saria's song and he will instantly be in a better mood. He asks you to take care of their little problem, and gives you the Goron's Bracelet.

Grab a deku stick and get a light off of Darunia's Torch, run back out and light all the torches in this room (3 of them in total, I think, one outside Darunia's room and two at the other end of the room) This will send the statue in the middle of the room spinning, and if you make your way up to the next floor, you should find an entrance to a set of stairs leading upwards, and also a bomb flower at the top of that small flight of stairs.

The key to completing this is timing, between grabbing the bomb flower at the right moment, to running down the stairs and chucking the bomb into the opening in the top of the statue.

Keep doing this a few times, the prize will be random, but eventually it will be a red rupee, a blue rupee, and a piece of heart (see The Pieces of Heart Guide)

If you make your way back out of Goron City (top floor) and then, once outside, walk to your right, you will find a single, solitary bomb flower sitting in the sun (very rare) Grab it and chuck it over the edge of the fence, it should land fairly close to the boulder blocking that cave entrance, and if close enuf, blow the boulder to pieces. If at first you don't succeed, keep trying. For a short cut down there, walk to your left and you will see an unfenced platform, you can jump off this for a quick short-cut down to the Dodongo's Cavern.
