Metallica - THE Best Band I Know Okay, before you go getting all "Ewww Metallica", just hear me out. 2 Years ago, I hated Grunge, Metal, etc ... I didn't like Metallica, and probably wouldn't have touched them with a ten-foot barge pole. But then, instead of so much listening to the music, a very good friend of mine had some lyrics to a song written down on paper. I didn't know it at the time, but the song was "Dyer's Eve", from the "...And Justice for all" album, released in 1988. I was stunned. This was one of the first songs I had seen that the lyrics actually had meaning, had a story to them, and really hit home to me (I was having alot of family troubles at the time). I asked who had written the song and she told me. I was doubly stunned. I then gave the band a chance and listened to their music, reading the lyric book as it went. And, I haven't looked back since. So, I compiled this lyric archive in an attempt to get all you anti-metallica people to actually get down off your pedestal and read the words. If you still don't like the band, then you have lost nothing and you can go on with your life. If you read the words and love them, then get out and get yourself the damn CD! And to all you Die-hard Metallica fans who have stood by the band since their beginnings back in 1983, keep on sticking behind the band! I just wish I had given such a great band a chance from the beginning.
